Edna E. Ney

Edna E. Ney, of Richlandtown and formerly of Doylestown, passed away Saturday March 30, 2019. She was 90.

Born in Chalfont, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Sadie Schaffer and wife of the late Robert Ney. She is survived by her beloved children Debbra Ney (Thomas Gregor) of Chalfont and Allison Reice (David) of Perkasie. Also surviving are her brothers Robert Schaffer (Audrey) of Sellersville and Richard Schaffer (Carol) of Chalfont and three grandchildren Courtney Gregor, Austin Gregor and Andrew Reice.

Edna worked as a secretary at Delaware Valley University for 40 years and on the weekends she waitressed at Zoto’s Diner for 37 years. She was a member of the Lenape Valley Golden Agers, enjoyed gardening, bus trips and was passionate about all forms of dancing. Most of all Edna enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to her viewing 9:30- 10:30 AM, Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Scanlin Funeral Home, 175 East Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA followed by her Funeral Service at 11 AM at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 1530 Augsburg Drive, Hilltown, PA. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation at www.alz.org .
