Sterner Dorothy M. (nee Miller), 86, of Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth, PA passed away on May 18, 2022. Wife of the late Robert D. who passed away in 2017. She is survived by her Cousins, Nieces and Nephews She was born July 25, 1935 to her loving parents, the late Adolph Miller and Mabel Groom Miller of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ. Dorothy resided in Franklin Township, Hunterdon County until July 1992. She was a graduate of North Hunterdon Regional High School, Class of 1953 and Rider University, Lawrenceville, NJ. Dorothy was the County Executive Director for the USDA, Farm Service Agency where she was employed for 39 years She also was a Recipient of the New Jersey Soil Conservation Districts “Outstanding Professional Conservationist Award in 1992. Dorothy actively participated for many years in the following boards and organizations: a past President of New Jersey Association of ASCS Employees, a Member of the Hunterdon County Board of Agriculture, a Life Member – Soroptimist International of Hunterdon County, a past Matron and 57 year member of Stewart Chapter, No. 166, OES, High Bridge, NJ, a former Member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, Pittstown, NJ and Current member of Doylestown Presbyterian Church, a Member of Village Improvement Association, Doylestown, PA, a Member of Doylestown Nature Club and a former Trustee and Secretary of the Locust Grove Cemetery Association, Quakertown, NJ. Dorothy also was an avid gardener, loved to travel and entertain family and friends. Funeral Service Monday May 23, 2022 at 11 AM at Scanlin McDonald Funeral Home 175 East Butler Avenue Chalfont, PA 18914. Relatives and friends are invited after 10 AM. Interment Private.
