Dorothea C. Barndt

Dorothea C. Barndt (Smith) passed away peacefully on February 2, 2022 at the age of 90. She was the loving wife of the late W. Richard Barndt. She was the devoted mother of Richard W. (Bonnie), Robert (Carol), Scott, the late Dianne Paul, and Gail Madge (Edward). She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She graduated Roxborough High School in 1949, and then moved to Cheltenham where she started her family. In 1976, the Barndt family moved to Chalfont and over the years she was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She made sure her family spent many happy days together, always hosting family dinners and holidays. She loved taking trips to the Jersey shore and watching her family have the time of their lives. She had the best sense of humor and the most infectious giggle. Wherever you were with Dot, you knew you would have a great time. Dorothea always loved spending time with her sisters, Evelyn and Beatrice. She was always on the go and finding fun things to do with her friends and family. She loved playing Bunco, cards, going to concerts, being a member of her lodge and taking trips to England to learn more about her heritage. She was a beautiful soul who showed such great strength and found laughter in even the most difficult times. She will be greatly missed by everyone who was blessed to know her and love her. Funeral Service 11 AM Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the Scanlin~McDonald Funeral Home 175 East Butler Ave Chalfont, PA 18914. Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral home Tuesday after 10 Am.
