Doris Virginia Osler (Hoffman) passed away peacefully at her home in Warrington, PA on June 28th, 2023, just three days following what would have been her 74th wedding anniversary to beloved husband William B. Osler. Born on February 19th, 1930, to Walter and Virginia Hoffman, Doris was raised in Warrington with her two brothers Walter and Verne attending Warrington School, a one-room schoolhouse, then Doylestown High School.
Shortly after getting married in 1949, Bill graduated college from Trenton State and Doris welcomed their first son Bill. Doris and Bill then settled down in Bucks County and welcomed three more children, Mari Lynn, Jody, and Rory. After raising her kids for several years full time, Doris entered the working world as a bank teller at Continental Bank in Warminster, a job she adored for 25 years.
Over the years, Bill and Doris enjoyed their free time camping in Massachusetts with the kids and after retiring, traveling and cruising the country and world. Ultimately, Doris especially loved spending time with her family- children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and cousins as well as many friends, for holiday’s, picnics, and any excuse to be together.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Bill and two brothers, Walter and Verne Hoffman as well as sister-in-law’s Gloria Hoffman, Mary Ann Hoffman, and niece Lorrie Hoffman. She is survived by son Bill Osler, daughter Mari Lynn Osler and husband Marvin Williams, daughter Jody Osler-Jones and husband Casey Jones, and son Rory Osler and wife Susan Wampler, grandchildren Caitlyn Kimenhour (Dave), McKenzie Jones, Morgan Jones, Sydney Osler, great-grandchildren Kayla and Cayden Kimenhour, and three nephews Kurt (Trudy), Karl (Zoe), and Kris Hoffman, and their families.
The family would like to extend its sincerest gratitude to Seniors Helping Seniors and Doylestown Hospice for the wonderful companionship and care for Doris. Hopefully, those whose lives she touched will continue to spread the love she shared.
There will be a celebration and remembrance of Doris' life being held on September 16th at 1PM at the Westminster Apartments Community Room, 600 Valley Road, Warrington.
