Donald L. Elliott

Donald L. Elliott, a resident of Chalfont, passed away Wednesday October 25, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was 74.

He had a sense of humor that just made everyone laugh. Don had a love of cars and was a member of the Doylestown Road Angels for 30 years. He served for six years with the US Navy aboard the USS Independence.

Don was a wonderful husband and best friend to his wife Linda (Vielhauer) and a great father to daughters Dawn Ward (Brian), Lori Kilgore (Todd), Nicole Lee (Michael) and Jennifer O'Leary (Denis) who felt they could talk to him about anything. Also surviving are his grandchildren Justin Haman; Anna and Ethan Kilgore; Alannah, Griffin and Zachary O'Leary; Jakob Lee and Natalia and EllaWard ; stepmother, Barbara Elliott; sisters June Wieshew(James), Judith Dolan(the late Robert), Joanie Dahling(James), Cathy Shaw(Richard) and Dovie Wagner(Earl); and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to greet the family 7 - 9 PM, Tuesday evening, November 7 and 9:30 - 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 8 at Scanlin Funeral Home, 175 East Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA. His memorial service will follow the greeting on Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment with military honors will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the New Britain Food Larder, 22 E. Butler Avenue, P.O. Box 5147, New Britain, PA 18901-0939.
