Donald F. Mundt, Sr.

Donald F. Mundt, Sr., 95, of Chalfont passed away peacefully at his home on January 16,

2024 with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Fred E. Mundt and

Christine J. Mundt (Frederick), loving husband of Helen (nee Oberkehr) for 65 years,

proud father of Donald, Jr. (Marilee), of Quakertown, and Frederick Mundt of New Hope.

He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Michael, Freddie, Cory, Susanne, Bradley, Erica

and 1 great-grandchild, Grayson who will be a big brother in March when great-grandchild

#2 enters the world and joins our loving family.

Don served in the U.S. Army, 2nd Armored Div. from 1950-1952 and was stationed in

Germany. He was a long time member of Osmond VFW Post 1692 Drum and Bugle Corp,

a Life Member and Past Commander of Chalfont VFW Post 3258, a Life Member of

Doylestown American Legion Post 210 and a 29 year member of Concordia Lodge 67

F&AM. He also taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir at St. Paul’s,

Doylestown.

Don was employed as an Engineer at Univac (Unisys) for 27 years as well as GE

Areonautics and Space Division for 5 years prior to retirement. He was a 1958 graduate of

LaSalle University with a BA degree in Physics and a 1989 graduate of Delaware Valley

University with a BS degree in Business Administration.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service, February 9 at 11:30 am

at Scanlin-McDonald Funeral Home, 175 E Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA.

Visitation will take place prior to the service from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Doylestown Health Hospice or Chalfont VFW Post

3258 would be appreciated.
