Dolores Edith Devery passed away at her home on May 31st surrounded by her family after suffering a stroke. Born on August 1st, 1930 in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania to John and Olga Casper. She graduated from Simon Gratz High School and worked as a stenographer at Philco in Philadelphia where she met her husband Mike. They were married at St. Stephens on September 19th, 1954.


The beloved wife of Michael H Devery, Dolores is survived by her brother and wife Thomas and Cookie Barrett, and her sister and husband Marie and Carl Brunsman.


Her legacy spans a lifetime. She was a loving and devoted mother to 7 children; 3 sons and wives; Michael S. and Tina Devery (Elizabethtown, NC); Brian and Kathy Devery (Quakertown, PA); Tim and Jenny Devery (Quakertown, PA); 4 daughters; Maureen and husband Bob Friedman (Fogelsville, PA); Lisa and husband Christopher Sparr (Swansboro, NC); Diane and husband Jeff Yingling (Souderton, PA) and Carolyn Devery (North Wales, PA). She was very proud and dearly loved her 16 grandchildren; Justin, Andrea, Elise, Jessica, Samantha, Katie, Jason, Janine, Heather, Joey, Elizabeth, Billy, Quinton, Christopher, Kelly and Michael and her 18 great-grandchildren.


She had a life full of faith, family and gentleness and values of respect and passion.


All whom loved her knew how she embraced the love of cooking, (Italian being her favorite), and an avid gardener and passion for birding. Dolores loved to dress in the latest fashions; a shopper extraordinaire! She will always be remembered for her charm, grace and undying love for her family and giving of herself.


A private internment will be held at St. John Newman Cemetery in Chalfont, PA on July 29th at 11:00 AM.
