Diana M. Benincasa

Diana M. Benincasa, a resident of Chalfont, PA, passed away Monday January 18, 2021.  She was 86.

Born 12/30/1934 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James and Jean (Williams) Venneri and the wife for 54 years of the late Frederick Benincasa Sr..  She is survived by her loving children Frederick A. Benincasa, Jr. and Michele Benincasa-Silber (the late Geoffrey); her younger brother James and several nieces and nephews.

Diana was a home maker for most of her life but with her quick wit and engaging and outgoing personality, she helped Fred operate his bowling alley, The Pit-Catcher Lanes for several years.

Diana was an avid golfer, bowler, and bingo player.  She enjoyed many crafts and did exceptionally beautiful cross stich, needlepoint and crochet work.  She sewed beautiful Halloween costumes and was an outstanding cook.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor and for being a faithful and devoted wife and a loving mother.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing 9:30AM, Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Scanlin Funeral Home, 175 East Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA where a Remembrance of Her Life will begin at 10:30 AM.  Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.  Please wear masks and adhere to social distancing.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or Doylestown Health Foundation at www.doylestownhealthfoundation.org .
