David G. Sanford, 70, passed away at home December 27, 2020 after a battle with cancer. David was born in Lake City, Iowa. His parents moved the family to Sioux City, Iowa where David graduated from Central High School and later WITCC. He attended University of Iowa, Briar Cliff College and in 2008 at DeVry University completed his Bachelor of Science in Technical Management. He also received a diploma from Rhema Bible Training Center. He worked in construction as a young man, had a variety of positions at Gateway 2000 and worked in large appliance sales at Sears in Montgomeryville.
David made a major change in his life when he received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He served God in his local church in Iowa where he met two people who would impact his future significantly. The first was Brenda whom he married. She encouraged him through all of his faith journey. The second person was Brother Jeff Tadlock who challenged David to know and serve God in a greater way. . It was David's joy and honor to help serve in Brother Jeff's ministry, Voice of Triumph Ministries. David travelled overseas on various missions trips to the Phillipines, Argentina, Estonia and Latvia. After graduating from Rhema Bible Training Center in OK, David and Brenda moved to PA to help with Brother Jeff's ministry. David also assisted Pastor Colin Tadlock by playing the bass guitar for the praise and worship team at Triumphant Church for many years.
David was known by family and friends for his dry sense of humor, his nature photography and his willingness to help people in any way he could. He will be greatly missed.
David is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Brenda Sanford; 5 daughters: Jessica Petersen (Sean), Naomi Smith (Ty), Amy Fredrickson (Kirk), Rachael Smith (Nick), and Emily Myers (John); and 13 grandchildren. He is also survived by his 2 sisters, Lizabeth Mercer and Sarah Sanford (Mike) and his brother, Steven Sanford (Shu Jing sun).
A memorial service will be Wednesday, January 6 at 2:00 pm at Triumphant Church meeting at Christ's Home chapel, 800 York Road, Warminster, PA 18974. A memorial service will be held in Sioux City, Iowa at a later date to be announced.
