Dale Wunsche, of Chalfont, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 10, surrounded by his loving family.
Dale was the devoted and beloved husband of Virginia Wunsche (Price), originally of Robesonia. Dale and Virginia celebrated their 48 th wedding anniversary in July. Dale is survived by Virginia; his daughter, Kristen Allen, also of Chalfont, and her sons, Connor, Ryan, and Nolan; and, his son Matt Wunsche, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Matt's wife, Christine, and daughter, Katie. Dale is also survived by his sister, Cheryl Ruth, of Townshend, Vermont. A family man to his core, Dale's family will remember him often and fondly.
Dale graduated from Neshaminy High School and Millersville University, where he met Virginia and studied geography and earth science. For more than thirty years, Dale taught middle school science and drivers education in the Pennsbury School District. Dale also taught Kristen and Matt, as well as many of their friends and classmates, to drive, the ultimate evidence of his loving, calm, and patient soul, and his perseverance. After retiring from teaching, Dale pursued his love of all things automotive by working for nine years at Jiffy Lube in Montgomeryville.
Dale was an active member of Pleasantville United Church of Christ, having served as a trustee and a member of the church's cemetery committee. A public visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, with a memorial service at 11 a.m. and refreshments to follow, at Pleasantville U.C.C., 3424 Limekiln Pike, Chalfont.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to Doylestown Hospital Hospice c/o Doylestown Health Foundation, 595 W. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 or www.doylestownhealth.org , whose staff provided Dale and his family with extraordinarily compassionate care.
