Christopher Charles Greenwood, 33, of Collegeville, PA, entered Heaven on August 2, 2023. He
was born on January 9, 1990 to Richard John Greenwood and JoEllen Renz Greenwood of
Lansdale, PA. He was a 2008 graduate of North Penn High School where he played on the
varsity baseball team. He worked alongside his father at the family printing business.
Kayak fishing was Christopher’s bliss. He had a love for salt water kayak fishing especially in
the back bays of Ocean City, NJ. He was a self taught fishing rod builder, molded his own jigs,
and took pride in participating in American Littoral Society fish tagging program. With the fish
he caught he enjoyed creating Gyotaku prints, which he gifted to friends and family. The fish
then made their way to the kitchen where Christopher enjoyed spending time creating meals for
others.
Christopher rode his bikes to feel free, starting with his Honda 350, Honda Shadow, and most
recently his Yamaha FZ07. He spent many hours meticulously detailing and improving the
performance of his motorcycles. He recently enjoyed a ride with his friend Rich running from a
summer storm.
As a lifelong athlete, Christopher and his father traveled to Colorado and Utah searching for deep
powder. He made sure to wait at the bottom of the slopes until his dad caught up. He found joy
and friendships on the baseball field, beginning at age 6 with Nor Gwyn Baseball up to age 19
with American Legion. He also played with Millersville University and the Liberty Bell Men’s
Baseball League.
Christopher’s fun side came out when he spent time with his nieces and nephews: cannonballs in
the swimming pool, shark fishing at night, creating backyard fireworks displays, riding the
carousel at Gillian’s and the roller coasters at Hershey Park and ending a night with s’mores by
the firepit.
In addition to his beloved parents, he is also survived by his fraternal grandmother, Mildred
Greenwood; his sisters: Katie Ronayne (Richard), Sarah Barry (Brett), and Emily Sasser (Bill);
nieces: Marina, Josie, Greta, and Sloane; nephews: Richie, Jack, and Henry; and many aunts,
uncles, and cousins.
The family will be hosting a gathering to celebrate Christopher on Sunday, September 17, 2023
at the Deep Creek Pavilion at Green Lane Park. Family and friends of Christopher are welcome
to join at 12pm.
