Charles J. Donovan, Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce Charles J Donovan, a resident of North Wales, PA died suddenly Sunday, March 22, 2020.  He was 65.

Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of the late Charles J Donovan Sr. and the late Margaret (Dunne). His family moved to Brittany Farms in Chalfont and he lived most of his life in Chalfont before moving to his current address.

Charlie graduated from Central Bucks West High School (1972) and continued his education in the electrical trade at Spring Garden College in Philadelphia where he earned top honors in his class. Later he became a Brother of Electrical Local Union 380 and worked for over 30 years before his retirement, leaving behind  his talent which was rare.

In 2004 he met his significant other Lori Rappold of Telford. Charlie enjoyed living life to the fullest. He always had a joke to say or a story to tell. His passion was fishing, golfing and scuba diving. He loved relaxing on the beach by the water and spending time with his friends, near and far. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Charlie is survived by his significant other Lori Rappold. Also surviving are his sisters Maureen Walkinshaw (the late James) and Patricia Henderson (Mark); nephews Sean Walkinshaw (Rebecca), David Walkinshaw (Nhan) and Shawn Henderson (Stephanie); and his pet Nelly.

At this time due to the pandemic and public gathering restrictions, services will be postponed.  A Celebration of Life will be announced when restrictions are ended and the website will be updated.
