Charles E. Sheldon
March 10, 1939 — November 7, 2023
Charles E. Sheldon, 84 of Chalfont, PA passed away peacefully after a brief but intense health struggle on the morning on Tuesday November 7th. Charles was the last of four children born to the late Harry and Dorothy (née Dailey) Sheldon on March 10, 1939, in Medford, MA.
After spending his younger years growing up in Philadelphia, PA, he and his family moved to Mohawk, NY at the start of 8th grade. It was there he met the love of his life Sally-Ann Tierney. This led to a union of 61 years until Sally-Ann’s passing in 2021. Charles was a hard-working dedicated husband and father with a love of puzzles in the newspaper, long bike rides and Philadelphia sports.
Charles is survived by his three children, Scott Sheldon of Port Hueneme, CA, Susanne (Jeffery) Jones of Coopersburg, PA and Christopher (Kristy) Sheldon of Utica, NY. As well as two grandchildren Carlie and Colin Jones. Charles was predeceased by his wife, Sally-Ann, his brothers Alan and Harry and a sister, Doreen.
The Sheldon family would like to express appreciation to the 4th floor staff of Jefferson Hospital - Lansdale and his helper and friend, Rose for their care and compassion during Charles’ time of need.
Relatives and friends are invited to the service on Monday November 13, 2023, at 1 PM at the Mohawk Cemetery Mohawk, NY
