Betty Velde Dodson

Betty V. Dodson, 96, a resident of Foulkeways Retirement Community in

Gwynedd, PA was called home to join her husband of 52 years, Warren R.

Dodson on October 6, 2021.

Born and raised in Newtown Square, PA, she married her childhood

sweetheart on July 27, 1945. They settled in King of Prussia and raised their

family there.

She is survived by her two daughters, Wendy Dodson Miller (the late John

Allen) and Bonnie Dodson White (Norman), both from Chalfont, PA. Her

three grandchildren, Mark Miller (Anne) of Schrewsbury, MA, Russell

Miller (Christine) of Collegeville, PA and Michael Warren Spatola, of

Chalfont, PA, her 4 great grandchildren, Benjamin Miller, Lauren Miller,

Fiona Miller and Cassidy Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband,

Warren R. Dodson.

Betty, and her husband Warren were active member of Chester Valley Golf

Club for many years. She also enjoyed flower arranging, bridge, traveling

and spending time with her family. She was always the life of the party.

Betty and Warren had many lifelong friends of which Betty has had to say

goodbye to over the years.

She held many different positions during her years at Port Kennedy

Presbyterian Church. Always quick to volunteer to help others, she has

passed that trait on to her daughters.

Friends and family may call at Scanlin-McDonald Funeral Home, 175 E Butler Ave,

Chalfont, PA starting at 10 AM on Friday, October 15, 2021 (Betty's 97th birthday) with service following at 11 AM. Interment will be private.
