Beatrice E. “Bonnie” Hann, 78, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2024. She was predeceased by her parents John Louis Fritsch and Beatrice (nee Rafferty), step mother Lucille (Jones) Fritsch, and her brother John Peter Fritsch.

We are transitioning to life without Bonnie in our presence, but she lives on in our hearts and memories.

Bonnie was certainly one-of-a-kind, and had a variety of loves, experiences, skills and talents. She LOVED

her two kids, Marlene (her little Turtle!) and Matthew (her little Frog!) And she Loved her grandkids: Marn’s son and daughter

Anthony and Sabrina, and Matt’s twins (son & daughter) Justin & Elizabeth.

Bonnie was the only child born of the union of her Mom & Dad, Beatrice (nee Rafferty) & John Louis Fritsch. Beatrice (her Mother) sadly passed away very early in Bonnie’s childhood. However, Beatrice’s own family included her sisters ‘Aunt’ Lillian (Uncle Bill, cousins Billy, Craig “Craiglet" & Beatrice) and ‘Aunt' Mary (Uncle Carl, cousins Bud & Cheryl). During her formative childhood years, she lived among her ‘posse’ of relatives and best friends while living on or near Harley Avenue in Gloucester City, NJ. Her grandmothers (Emma Fritsch & Lillibelle Rafferty) and her gang of cousins were very instrumental in bringing happiness & the importance of family togetherness to her young heart, which carried throughout her lifetime.

Bonnie gained a Mom and siblings when her Dad married Lucille (nee Jones) in the mid-1950’s. Along came Lucy “Sam”, John "Johnny Peter", Lori, and Nancy “Nants.” After moving to Cross Keys (NJ) in 1959, Bonnie became a 1964 graduate of Williamstown High School. She spoke often of her friends, from elementary school thru high school…including Alison McDougall, Barbara & Pete Raskis, Sharron Fowler, Ann Hymral, Ruth Harker, Claire Lorraine, Ginnie & Matt Iannacone. She also had special longtime friendships with Ann & Tom Walker, Al, and her loyal companion Walt Buchersky. There was one ‘special’ classmate in 5th grade at Monmouth Elementary School in the 1958-59 school year, Eddie Pierce. Maybe Bonnie never had the courage to say it to you directly, but she believed that you, Eddie, were “The Handsomest kid in the world” in her best cursive writing on the back of your wallet-sized picture!

Bonnie loved spending her teenage-year(s) summers in Ocean City with her cousins, working part-time jobs and going dancing with everyone she could! She loved going “Down the Shore,” the OC music pier, the beach, and all things “Shore.” While at the shore, she and cousin Cheryl practiced to perfection the “Flip” hairdo that she sported in her WHS ’64 Senior portrait. She was a skilled crochet artist, creating colorful and warm blankets, lap & seat covers for those she loved. Bonnie brought her skills & love of crafting (crocheted caps, wreaths, beaded Christmas Spiders) to the autumn Ocean City Craft Fair for more than a dozen years; she was known locally as the “Spider Lady of Bucks County,” and rarely missed an opportunity to set up shop at the Feast of 'Our Lady of Czestochowa (Chestahova).’ Bonnie was also a talented cook, an Original “Foodie" long before the term was widely used. She had a love for chocolate of any sort (particularly dark chocolate), and was appreciated whenever she made and shared her homemade cole slaw. Bonnie loved her animals, notably her feline companions 'Newman the Human,' and most recently ~ Pete. Prior to COVID, Bonnie contributed nightly to efforts to solve world and local problems with her neighborhood friends at the Creekside, was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and NFL, her heartthrobs: Tom Jones & Michael Bolton, world class figure skating, logic challenges & trivia (rarely missing an episode of JEOPARDY!).

A special thanks to the staff of the Chalfont Borough EMS, Doylestown Hospital Cardiovascular & Critical Care Pavilion and and In-House Rehabilitation specialists; the Emergency Department, the 4th floor Acute Care Unit, and 2nd floor Hospice specialized care nurses, managers and staff. Your professional and compassionate treatment of our sister during her most challenging days did not go unnoticed, and was so very much appreciated.
