Barry W. Howell, of Chalfont, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec.28 2019 at 11:24pm, at the University of Pennsylvania's hospice facility in Philadelphia, Pa. He was 76.
Born in 1943, Barry Wayne Howell was the son of George and Sara Howell of Harrisburg, Pa.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna, and his son Robert, Age 48. He is also survived by his brother Darvin Howell, and his two sisters, Connie Garman and Marsha Deimler.
In his earlier years, Barry attended Middletown High School in Middletown, Pa. where he played Basketball, Football, and Baseball. He graduated H.S. in 1962. Barry also attended the Goldie-Beacon College and School of Business. While there, he played basketball and was voted MVP 2 years in a row. He graduated college in 1965. Following college, Barry went into restaurant management for Howard Johnsons and eventually bartending throughout Bucks and Montgomery counties.
Barry loved people and most importantly, he loved life. He was well known throughout the area and made many friends through his work. In his spare time, he spent countless hours outdoor in his yard, gardening and planting flowers around the house. It was something he was extremely proud of and received many compliments from his neighbors.
