Barbara Morris

Barbara Ann Smith Morris passed away peacefully on April 18 at the age of 83, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Doylestown on April 16, 1938, she was a lifelong resident of Chalfont.  She graduated from Central Bucks West High School and Temple University.  She is predeceased by her parents Edward P Smith and Anna (Stoop) Smith, her husband, Melvin F Morris Jr, daughter Caraann Morris Jurasek  and son-in-law Joseph Jurasek.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Dawn L Morris, Robert and Kathy Day, nephews, Robert Day (Tarah), Daniel Day (Liz), Steven Day (Briana) and Kevin Day, great nieces and nephews, Troy Day, Cara Day and Gianna Day.

Barbara worked as a florist for many years, and owned a flower shop in Doylestown. She loved making the world a more beautiful place with her arrangements.  She enjoyed embroidery, thrift store shopping, and decorating her home for every holiday.   But mostly she enjoyed time spent with her family and her many friends, many of whom were from her childhood and were very much a part of her life.   She always had a kind word and encouraged all those around her in anything they did.

Barbara's life will be celebrated at Chalfont United Methodist Church, 11 Meadowbrook Road, Chalfont, PA, 11 AM, Saturday May 1, 2021 where relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10 to 11AM. Interment will be private. A luncheon will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Barbara's name can be made to the American Cancer Society.
