Anthony J. Visalli, age 80, died peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of Nicholas Visalli and Marie Visalli (Piccone). Tony attended Bishop Newman Catholic High School where he excelled as a student, baseball player, and guitarist for The Rhythm Rockers. Tony attended and graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science ’63 with a B.S. Degree in Chemistry. In college, Tony continued playing baseball, as well as guitar for the renamed group called The Embers. Tony was employed for 36 years at Aventis (formerly W.H. Rorer) Pharmaceutical Company. Tony was passionate about his hobbies, which over the years included playing the banjo as a mummer for the Greater Kensington String Band, being a member of the Masons, performed banjo repair, and fishing. He was known in the Mummer community for his knowledge of instruments and was highly regarded as a valuable resource for many musicians. Through the years he made friends doing the activities that he enjoyed and kept close connections to several co-workers after his retirement. Tony is survived by Diane, his wife of 55 years; their daughters Audra Romano, her husband Tony and their children Ryan and Andrew; Trisha Visalli, her husband Joe and their children Cole and Nicholas. Tony is also survived by his brothers Peter (Janice) Visalli and Carmen (Lenora) Visalli. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a greeting on Saturday May 14th at 10:00 am at Saint Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Avenue, Warrington, Pa 18976. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am. Internment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the organization of your choice.
